A. ZipIt is a UAE-based, business-grade file transfer application with Arabic language support. It is like your online file explorer where you can create folders and sub folders and upload files of more than 10GB to it.
A. Yes, ZipIt can be accessed from iOS and Android devices.
A. Simply click on the Registration button, and follow the instructions.
A. We offer three packages: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. They have a diskspace limit of 40 GB, 120 GB, and 200 GB, respectively; and their prices are $14, $27, and $41, all monthly.
A. Yes, ZipIt can be accessed from iOS and Android devices. To access from an iPad, make sure that you are in Public mode, and that your browser accepts cookies.
A. ZipIt uses the PayPal payment gateway for payment.
A. To see which plan you are subscribed to, first, you log into ZipIt, and then click on the Billing Page tab on the Side Menu. The page will redirect to the page, where you can view all the details of your plan.
A. Yes, but not directly. On the Billing Page, when you either re-subscribe or select a new plan, you will be redirected to the PayPal payment gateway. From there, all you have to do is fill out the required information, and make the transaction.
A. Yes, we do have 24×7 Support, courtesy of Managed Services. You can call us at 04-374-6220 or use the Contact Us form, and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
A. The trial period activates as soon as a user first registers with us. It lasts for 2 weeks, and allows the user to use all the functions of a full ZipIt account, but at no cost and with a 2 GB file storage limit. When the trial period ends, you can select one of the plans at the bottom of the Billing Page to upgrade your account. Selecting one of these plans takes the user to the PayPal payment gateway, from which the user has to fill out the required information to complete the transaction.
A. Yes, it does. Our secure server automatically backs up any and all files and stores them separately.
A. To cancel a subscription, all you have to do is go to the Billing Page, and select the ‘Unsubscribe Plan’ button. This will cancel your plan and account.
A. Yes, you can. On the Billing Page, there is a button at the top-right side of the Top Bar called ‘My Transactions.’ Clicking on that will open a page where it shows your transaction history. If you want, you can also download the details as a spreadsheet for archive purposes.
A. It usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes before the system updates itself.
A. Should anything go wrong or you have any questions, click on the Support tab on the Side Menu. From there, you can either send a message to us, or contact us with the information provided.
A. If you forget your password while logging in, just click “Forgot Password,” and enter your email address. An email will be sent to your inbox saying that your password will be reset to our default one. To reset it, click on the button in the email. Then, change your password. We strongly recommend that you change your password every year.
A. Yes, you can. On all packages, you can customize the text color, mouse-over colors, and logo. To do this, go to My Account, then Edit Account, and take it from there.
A. No, ZipIt doesn’t support have multiple users. If you are a company, it is one account for everyone.
A. There is no limit to the size of the file you can upload; however, currently, you can only upload 1 file at a time.
A. If ZipIt doesn’t have what you need, let us know through the Contact Us form on the homepage, and we will make a note of it for future versions.
A. Yes, you can. On the application, go to the Billing Page, and scroll down to the bottom. Select one of the plans you want to go to, and follow the standard billing process. Your previous plan’s payment will be nullified, and the new one will take effect.
A. When you select a new plan, the day you begin it is when you are billed. For example, if you started your plan on the 20th day of the month, for every month after that, your credit card will be billed at that day.
A. There is no need to. ZipIt uses a recurring payment method. Your credit card is billed automatically by ZipIt when the time comes.
A. Because we backup everything on ZipIt, you can let us know what file you deleted, and we’ll find it for you in our database, and send it back to you so you can re-upload it.
A. To share files, all you have to do is select the share icon on the right side of a file name or directory name, and then select one of the two options. You can send an email directly from ZipIt with a link to the file or directory, or you can generate a link that you can use in any email service or social media.
A. The items you can share are files and directories. You can share them by email link or as a standalone link.
A. Yes, sharing with multiple recipients is supported.
A. Yes, using the “Generate Link” option, you can create a link for the folder or file you want to share, and use it on social media.
A. There are three things you can do. One, download the files you want to keep. Two, delete the files you do not want to keep. Or three, use the Move/Copy button in the Top Bar. All you have to do is select the action required, the file or folder you want to move, and the destination. Then, just do it again for all the files you want to keep.
A. Right now, we are only on Twitter, but we might expand our horizon in the future.
A. In the My Accounts page, there are two options in the Top Bar: Change Username and Change Password. In Change Username, you can enter a new email address you want to use as your username. After you change it, all emails will be redirected to it. In Change Password, you can change the password (of course).
A. It means that you can download everything that is on your ZipIt account. Be advised: if there are a lot of files and folders in your account, it will take a long time.
A. To upload a file, click on the Upload File button on the Top Bar, and then fill out the necessary fields.
A. To create a new folder, click on the Add Folder button on the Top Bar, and then fill out the necessary fields.
A. To download a file, just click on the name of the file or select the blue arrow on the right side of the screen. Do the latter when downloading a folder.
A. To rename a file or folder, click on the dropdown icon on the right side of the page, and then click Rename. A popup will appear asking you to type the new name.
A. To see the details of a file or folder, click on the dropdown icon on the right side of the page, and then click Info. A menu will open with all the information of the file or folder you selected.
